#GISDSlowChat : GISD Digital Learning Launches a Slow Chat on Twitter

You are cordially invited to join the official GISD Slow Chat as facilitated by the Digital Learning Team. What is a slow chat?  Well, it is a Twitter chat meant to progress slowly through the week. That means that the host will send out questions 3 times a week using the specific hashtag #GISDSlowChat, and then moderate the chat for an entire week.

Why do we love slow chats?  Because we don’t have to worry about having all of our participants on Twitter at the same time, it allows for all time zones to participate, as well as for great conversations to unfold at a slower pace. These Twitter Slow Chats are a time to come together with your colleagues and learn from subject-matter experts and real-world practitioners to continue – or start! – the conversations on improving our craft.

How to participate:

  • You must have a Twitter account to participate. Log in to your Twitter account.
  • You don't have to sign up anywhere, just participate when you want.
  • The questions are shared out on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings and afternoons.
  • To find the questions, visit @GISDDigiLearn on Twitter, or click on the magnifying glass or the "# Explore" and search for the hashtag #GISDSlowChat
  • During the week, answer the questions, ask your own and connect with other chatters.
  • To participate in the chat, simply compose a tweet, ALWAYS be sure to include #GISDSlowChat within your tweet, so others participating will see your tweet.
  • If you are responding to a question that has been posted, note the question number (eg Q3), respond with #GISDSlowChat A3 and your response.
  • If you wish to reply to another tweet, simply click reply and start typing. Don't forget to add #GISDSlowChat before you send your tweet.

We look forward to engaging with you on weekly GISD Slow Chats starting September 27, 2021!
