Reflecting and synthesizing are important parts of the learning process for all learners and the end of the school year is a great time to have your students utilize these skills by reflecting on the past year. Students can reflect on the events of the school year, the ways they have grown, their current favorites, and set some goals for next year. Teachers can also use this as an opportunity to get student feedback on their class as well! Read on to learn about some of my favorite technology-infused ways to wrap up the school year.
Flipgrid
Video reflection is a powerful tool and Flipgrid makes that task easy for anyone. Come up with a question stem of your own or use one from the list below to create a Flipgrid Topic for your students to respond to and you will be sure to enjoy the videos your students create!
- Describe your year in three words (similar to #My3WordsGMA)
- Describe what you are looking forward to next year.
- How do you feel about our class?
- What message do you have for the incoming class?

- Flipgrid Discovery Library EOY Topic 2
**BONUS POINTS if you can compile all of your individual student responses into a class Mixtape to show to your class and/or share with your learning community! 😊
Google for Education
Google Slides and Jamboard are two Google tools that work perfectly for capturing the power of student reflection. You can create and share a template for your students to complete or you can give them a list of questions to respond to and give them creative freedom to respond with the media of their choice. The options for implementing this with your class are endless!
